A day in the life of crèche year one teacher Paulette Gabriel

I have watched my three children take their first steps into crèche at Pointe Larue, and as a mother, I remember those mornings well. With tears well hidden, I would watch my little ones walk into a new environment, knowing that they were beginning an important chapter of their lives. While I missed them, I often wondered what their day would be like, what they would learn and, perhaps most importantly, what it was like for the teacher welcoming them into the classroom.

Behind every child settling into crèche is a teacher who must find the patience, understanding and dedication to guide little personalities through their first experiences of structured learning.
