Renewal group Feu Ardent to be launched tomorrow |10 December 2020

A charismatic renewal group, Feu Ardent, will be officially launched in the Saint Michael’s Church of Anse Aux Pins tomorrow, Friday December 11 at 5pm.
After a formation on how to live as the disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, a small group of us, including I, are ready to spread our wings and fly, to bring out the good news, the Kerygma to our nation! Maybe, if we were not in a restrictive period because of the Covid- 19, we would fly to faraway lands to proclaim the Word of the Lord.
One of our main reasons for this prayer group is to be with Jesus Christ! In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18: 20, Jesus says, if we are gathered in His name, he is there too:
18:20 |
|
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. |
Therefore, it is important to pray in groups for Jesus is there with us! He is there to answer our prayers and fulfil our needs if we pray with conviction and feelings. During our launching, this is what we would like to do, ask Him for the renewal of our soul, faith and we would like to give praise and glory to our Creator.
1 Cor 14: 24-26
14:24 |
|
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: |
14:25 |
|
And thus, are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so, falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. |
14:26 |
|
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. |
Surely, we are now living in a time of reflection, the best thing is to go within, in the depth of ourselves and asking these following questions may help us to know why we are here for: Who are we? What is our purpose in life? Where are we leading to? All these answers may help us to find God, in the Scriptures, especially in Jesus Christ, in the New Testament with the aid of the Holy Spirit. It is for this reason that we have decided to join together and form this Catholic charismatic renewal group, which we have baptised ‘Feu Ardent’.
The launch ceremony will start with songs of praise, asking the Holy Spirit, the God of action to come in our heart so that we may praise and worship our God! There will also be some moment of deep silence during the Eucharistic Adoration for Jesus Christ our Saviour is ever so present in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. There will be a moment of Forgiveness, of asking Jesus to purify our heart. Mark1:15
1:15 |
|
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. |
There is nothing lighter than a pure heart! Our Lord, Jesus Christ who had died on the cross to save us is always ready to forgive us for our sins, for our wrongdoing, actually He had been baptised in the Jordan river to show us how human, He also was because Jesus had never sinned.
Yes, the most important part of our Charismatic Renewal Group is to be with Jesus, to give Him thanks and praise. In Hebrew 13:15
13:15 |
|
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. |
Colossians 3:15-17
3:15 |
|
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. |
3:16 |
|
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
3:17 |
|
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. |
On the new Pentecost of ours we are looking forward to invoking the Holy Spirit so that we may be filled with His gifts, as in 1 Corinthians 12, so that we may receive all that we shall ask for, and also to proclaim His Word and give thanks and praise to Him. Like in Acts 1:4 and 1:8,
1:4 |
|
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. |
Let’s wait together for God’s promise!
1:8 |
|
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. |
Do come and share some moment of joy and wonders with us on December 11! We shall end the session with the Holy Mass. Remember, Jesus loves us and He is waiting to renew our heart!
I would like to share a few words on this painting and logo of, ‘Feu Ardent’. On the logo the Holy Spirit is represented by the Dove and Fire, the Word of God in the Holy Bible and the Cross on which Jesus had died to save us!
In the painting the Holy Spirit has been represented as the Dove, of course, the Fire, the Cross which has become glorious in the Gospel of John 19, after Jesus said, “it is finished” He gave up the Holy Ghost, the Spirit, and when the centurion pierced Him, blood and water came out, which I have tried to capture in this painting. The Holy Bible, God’s inspired Word and the Holy Spirit who is the Paraclete, our guide, our counselor, friend and advocate is ever so active in us and in the world! A work of art of love and redemption was being completed on the cross!
