PS Angelique Antat to leave post at Entrepreneurship and Industry department

Angelique Antat, the principal secretary in the Entrepreneurship and Industry department of the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, will be leaving her post on July 14 to pursue new ventures, a press release from the ministry announced yesterday.

During her career span to date, Ms Antat has held several previous government positions including advisor to the former Minister for Industry, Entrepreneurship Development and Business Innovation, Minister Wallace Cosgrow, chief executive of the Seychelles Investment Board (SIB), principal policy analyst in the policy and strategy division in the Ministry of Finance as well as assistant policy analyst in the same ministry.

She also played a pivotal role in gaining support, collaboration or funding for a number of projects for Seychelles from international organisations such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa).

Ms Antat’s portfolios will be taken up by Michael Nalletamby, the principal secretary in the department of Investment within the same ministry. These consist of the Seychelles Bureau of Standards, Enterprise Seychelles Agency, the Science, Technology and Innovation division, the Industrial Estates Authority and the Seychelles Investment Board.
