Honourable Sandy Arissol, Linyon Demokratik Seselwa elected member of the National Assembly for Bel Ombre, recently represented the institution at the sixth plenary session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace hosted by the Parliament of the Republic of Montenegro.

The July 15-16 global conference was an international platform dedicated for tolerance and for spreading peace and noble human objectives.

The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) is an international organisation that relies on democratic principles and its own work system follow international laws and covenants in order to reach true and sustained peace for human kind through a culture of tolerance between countries. It also builds on the policy of soft power whose importance some countries have understood and started calling for it to be spread worldwide.

One of the main organs of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace held its bureau meeting and the meetings of its six permanent committees ‒ cultivating peace committee, international relations committee, legal affairs committee, women and youth committee, sustainable development committee, and preventing extremism and terrorism committee.

The bureau approved the agenda while the permanent committees discussed ways to promote tolerance and peace around the world in their specialised fields.
