Asphalt laying work set to start soon along Sans Soucis road |24 May 2025

Motorists and pedestrians going along the Sans Soucis/Morne Blanc roads recently might have noticed clearing work being done by the roadsides by Vijay Construction Pty Ltd and may have wondered if the company is also engaged in contract cleaning works issued by the Landscape and Waste Management Agency. 

Speaking to Seychelles NATION, the chief executive of the Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA), Parinda Herath, said this was not the case as the company has been awarded a resurfacing contract through the usual procurement method and will be resurfacing 5km of the Sans Soucis road. He explained that Vijay Construction Pty Ltd was undertaking the cleanup along the stretch of road only in preparation for the asphalt laying scheduled to take place shortly.
