Old records still faster than today’s electronically measured times

In track and field, every second, or even every fraction of a second, counts, and as the 45th National Inter-School Athletics Championships, scheduled for Saturday at Stad Linite close in, the big question remains whether the competition has progressed, or regressed, in terms of athletes’ performances.
The only way to the perfect answer is the results, including best times and records over the years, recorded initially through hand-timing, before switching to electronic timing, or photo finish.
