Seychelles gears up for general election |20 September 2025

With less than a week to go before voters head to the polls, the Electoral Commission of Seychelles (ECS) and its partners have declared that they are ready for the general election.

Voting will take place over three days – September 25, 26 and 27 – starting with the outer islands.

At a press conference held yesterday afternoon at the ECS headquarters, Mont Fleuri, the ECS was joined by key partners including the police, the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), the Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS), the Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD) and the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA). All stakeholders assured the public that preparations are in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful election.
