Absa Bank Seychelles launches multi-currency virtual card
As Seychelles celebrates its 50th Independence Day, Absa Bank Seychelles has unveiled the country’s first multi-currency virtual card, marking another milestone in the bank’s digital transformation journey.
The innovative solution was introduced at a launch event by Murugan Pillay, Absa’s personal and private banking director, who provided an overview of the product, while Patrick Hoareau, digital product manager, demonstrated its features.
Mr Pillay noted that the launch reflects the changing banking habits of Seychellois consumers over the past six decades.
“Absa’s digital evolution reflects the shifting behaviours of Seychellois consumers over the last 60 years. The journey transitioned from cash to physical debit and credit cards, moved on to online banking and ATMs, and has now arrived at entirely smartphone-driven solutions,” he said.
