   New chief executives for SIB, STC     • President appoints liaison officer for Praslin

President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday announced the appointment of Anne Rosette as the new chief executive of the Seychelles Investment Board (SIB) and Siana Bistoquet as the new chief executive of the Seychelles Trading Company (STC).

Following the announcement in November 2020 that Praslin and La Digue would fall directly under the Office of the President, President Ramkalawan has also appointed Vincent Cedras as the liaison officer for Praslin.

 

SIB’s new CEO

Ms Rosette is a professional with over 30 years of experience in relevant key positions within both the private and public sector in Seychelles and in the UK.

She has experience in sales and marketing, project and business development, commercial planning, customer service, hospitality with an excellent foundation in administration, systems and information management and processing.

Ms Rosette has been working at the Seychelles Breweries Ltd for the past seven years and prior to her appointment she was occupying the post of customer marketing manager.

Ms Rosette’s appointment takes effect today, October 1, 2021.

 

STC’s new CEO

Mrs Bistoquet by profession is a well-established business woman in the construction field as well as in the tourism and hospitality domain.

She has experience in sales and marketing, project and business development, commercial planning, customer service, hospitality, human resource management and managing expenditure.

Mrs Bistoquet was appointed as a member of the board of the Seychelles Trading Company in February, this year, a post she has occupied until her new appointment.

Mrs Bistoquet’s appointment takes effect today, October 1, 2021.

 

Liaison officer for Praslin

Part of Mr Cedras’ responsibilities as liaison officer for Praslin will be to ensure effective consultation and improved communication with regard to matters relating to Praslin Island.
Mr Cedras is a Praslinois and has extensive experience in the domain of structural design and project management. He is also the chairperson of Special Olympics Seychelles.

In announcing this appointment, President Ramkalawan expressed hope that the appointment of a new liaison officer who will report directly to State House will provide an open platform for concerns of citizens to be heard and swiftly addressed at the executive level.

Mr Cedras’ appointment takes effect immediately.
