President Ramkalawan meets PM Pravind Jugnauth en route to COP26 |02 November 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan met the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth while on transit to attend the World Leaders Summit COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The meeting was an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss current affairs and work ahead of the leaders’ Summit. Both countries will take the same stance on the issue of vulnerability and will seek support for small island developing states (Sids).

It was the first occasion that the two leaders met since the passing of Sir Anerood Jugnauth, the father of PM Jugnauth. President Ramkalawan once again expressed his sincere condolences.

Seychelles and Mauritius continue to share an excellent relationship and further cooperation in various areas of development will be explored.
