State House condemns illegal arrest of citizen |14 February 2022

Following the circulation of a video on social media of an incident where an individual is being apprehended and handcuffed and the State House is mentioned, the Office of the President wishes to categorically condemn the incident and state that the person involved is not a member of the Seychelles Defence Forces or any branch of the Police Force.

State House has requested that the police carry out a thorough investigation and handle the matter as per the law.

State House further wishes to advise members of the public to remain alert at all times and to inform the police of any such suspicious incidents.
