Hotel owner on Praslin found dead |29 May 2023
The police are investigating the death of Hans Hackl, 78. The lifeless body of the Seychelles-German national, who is the owner of Castello Beach Hotel in Grand Anse Praslin, was found at his villa in the early hours of yesterday, on the second main island, Praslin.
In a communique released late yesterday afternoon, the police said the victim’s companion – a 64-year old Russian woman, was who holidaying in Seychelles – was also found badly hurt. She had sustained injuries on several parts of her body and received treatment at the Baie Ste Anne hospital, before being transferred to the Seychelles Hospital on Mahé, where she underwent treatment and was admitted.
According to the police, the incident was reported at around 2.05am yesterday and an investigation is under way, while they await the autopsy report.
The police are appealing to anyone with credible information into what could have happened at the couple’s villa to contact the Praslin CID office on 4303514 or 133.
