CBS launches the Financial Indicators Expectations Survey for Firms |11 March 2025

The Central Bank of Seychelles yesterday launched the inaugural Financial Indicators Expectations Survey for Firms.

This survey aims to understand firms’ expectations on key economic indicators for the next three months to five years, related to prices, interest rates, exchange rates, economic activity, wages, ability to hire employees and access to credit.

In a communique issued yesterday, the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) said the results of the survey will complement the outcomes of similar surveys conducted with the banking sector and households, thus enabling CBS to have a comprehensive overview of economic expectations across different target groups.  This will in turn supplement CBS’ analysis of economic indicators and enhance the formulation of policy decisions.

Organisations wishing to take part in the Financial Indicators Expectation Survey for Firms for Q2 can do so until April 4, 2025 at the following link https://forms.office.com/r/h0cipWLbSj:

The consolidated survey results will be published on April 25, 2025, on the CBS website at: https://www.cbs.sc/Statistics/SOFirms.html

CBS said it values the contribution of firms in this exercise and is encouraging maximum participation. Any clarification or further queries can be emailed to statistics@cbs.sc
