Brazil 2-1 Italy - Group D |04 May 2025

Brazil secured their second victory in a 2-1 win over Italy.
Mauricinho was the difference-maker as Brazil clinched a hard-fought victory over Italy in a high-octane showdown at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™.
The match began with a goalkeeping masterclass, as Leandro Casapieri stood tall for Italy, denying a Lucao penalty and a spectacular Brendo bicycle kick. Bobo then kept Brazil level by saving an Alessandro Remeni spot-kick, before Casapieri pulled off another highlight-reel stop to deny Rodrigo after an extraordinary display of skill.
The breakthrough finally came when Mauricinho pounced on a defensive error to give Brazil the lead. Italy responded quickly after the interval, with Tomasso Fazzini leveling the score.
The final period brought more drama, including a fingertip save from Bobo to deny Italy’s goalkeeper Gean Pietro a stunning volley, and a near-miss overhead kick from Mauricinho. But the Brazilian No11 had the final say, sliding in a late winner to seal the win in a pulsating contest.
