The Seychelles Supreme Court has summoned social media influencer Bernard Sullivan before the court, to answer charges related to cyber harassment and hate speech.
The 63-year-old Beau Vallon resident will appear before the court on May 30, 2025 at 9am. This is in connection to a social media post allegedly targeting elected member of the St Louis district in the National Assembly, Sathya Naidu, which went viral late March. The police conducted a search of his residence on March 30 and subsequently detained Mr Sullivan at the Beau Vallon police station. He was released the following day without any charges.
