International Nurses Day: United Seychelles president extends heartfelt gratitude to nurses
On the occasion of International Nurses Day, Dr Patrick Herminie, president of the United Seychelles (US), extends his deepest appreciation and warmest wishes to all nurses and nursing assistants across the nation.
“Today, we celebrate the unwavering dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts of our nurses, who are the backbone of our healthcare system,” stated Dr Herminie. “The United Seychelles recognises the immense challenges and frustrations they face daily, yet they continue to provide exceptional care with remarkable resilience.”
Dr Herminie highlighted the extraordinary commitment of Seychellois nurses, noting that they often exceed the recommended working hours set by the World Health Organisation. “Our nurses are truly special individuals, driven by a profound sense of duty and compassion, often prioritising the well-being of others above material gain,” he emphasised.
