Housing Finance Company opens new customer service office in Victoria

Clients applying loans from the Housing Finance Company can now have easier access to such services in a more timely and effective manner, thanks to a new customer service office in Victoria.

A soft opening of the Housing Finance Company's (HFC) new office located on the ground floor of the Victoria House building was held yesterday.

Speaking to members of the media after the opening, the principal secretary for Housing, Jude Florentine, said for the past few years, applicants had been coming to the Ministry of Land Use and Habitat now Ministry of Lands and Housing, specifically the housing department to have their applications vetted.

“The department spent a lot of time looking at the validity of the application, whether the person has permission to build, is employed, making a contribution in the home saving scheme and is qualified in terms of achieving 5 percent contribution of their personal loans,” Mr Florentine said.
