President Ramkalawan meets business community to share government plans
President Wavel Ramkalawan met with members of the business community at State House yesterday morning in a special meeting aimed at strengthening the relationship between the public and private sectors.
Present at the meeting were senior government officials from various ministries, departments and agencies, along with leaders from different business organisations and associations. The purpose was to inform the business community about the government’s ongoing efforts and upcoming reforms to support businesses in Seychelles.
Minister for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, Devika Vidot, noted that oftentimes, the private sector is unaware of the various initiatives in place to support the sector. She explained that the meeting was a chance to update business leaders on important reforms and digital improvements the government is working on.
“This meeting was an opportunity for us to share with them what we are doing, in terms of reforming the law and procedural reforms, digital platforms, and to also have a one-stop shop, which will help with service-delivery that they expect and that they are looking for,” said Minister Vidot.
