United Seychelles holds first Elders’ Conference
The United Seychelles (US) political party held its first-ever Elders’ Conference on Saturday afternoon at the International Conference Centre Seychelles (ICCS), bringing together elderly supporters from across the country for a special forum dedicated to their contributions and continued role in the party’s future.
The event, which featured speeches from key party figures, was organised under the theme ‘Veterans remain a solid force for our party’. It was a celebration of the sacrifices and work that elderly citizens have made in the development of Seychelles, and within the US party.
Robert Monthy, chairman of the US Elders Committee, opened the conference with heartfelt remarks. He expressed pride in the initiative and praised the dedication of elderly supporters over the years, and declared the commitment of the veteran members of the party ahead of the upcoming presidential elections.
“Our party has always supported veterans, and our party will always support us. We will always support our presidential candidate,” said Mr Monthy.
