Voting starts at special polling stations

Seychellois voters go to the polls today for the second round of the presidential election.

The first day of polling is reserved for special stations on Mahé, Praslin and outer islands. On Mahé, the special polling stations are at the English River School and La Rosière crèche and they will be open between 7am and 5pm, the North East Point Home for the Elderly from 7am to 12 noon, the Remand Centre at Bois de Rose, from 7am to 12 noon, while on Praslin, the special polling station has been set up at the Baie Ste Anne primary school and will be open from 7am to 5pm.

On the outer islands voters on Astove, Assomption, Denis, Bird, and Fregate islands are casting their vote. According to the Voters Register, 77,045 people are eligible to vote during the three-day exercise which will end with the main polling day on October 11.
