United Seychelles regains power at both executive and legislative levels

Seychelles’ most anticipated event this year was the general elections held in late September to elect the country’s sixth president of the Third Republic and the seventh cohort of the National Assembly.

The elections generated significant interest from the outset, with strong social media engagement from both politicians and voters. Politicians sought to justify why they were best suited to lead Seychelles, while voters openly questioned their plans for the nation.
