President Faure sends congratulatory message to Prime Minister Boris Johnson |16 December 2019

President Danny Faure has sent a congratulatory message to Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, following the landslide victory of the Conservative Party in the recent parliamentary elections.

“On behalf of the government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles, it is with great pleasure that I extend to you my warmest congratulations following the landslide victory of the Conservative Party in the recent parliamentary elections,” President Faure says in his message.

The President further states: “This victory reaffirms the trust that the people of the United Kingdom have placed in you and your party in upholding stability and equality in the United Kingdom.”

The President concludes in expressing his confidence that “as you continue at the helm of your country, the excellent ties that have defined the partnership between Seychelles and the United Kingdom will be taken to new heights”.
