Road closure in Victoria during the festive seasons |29 November 2025

The Seychelles Police Force wishes to inform the public of the following temporary road closures to facilitate the Victoria Christmas lights parade and associated events. Motorists and pedestrians are kindly advised to plan their routes accordingly.

The Independence Avenue from Independence House to the Clock Tower will be closed for the Victoria Christmas lights Parade starting from Saturday November 29 at midnight, to Sunday November 30 at 11.59pm.

On Sunday November 30, the Stad Popiler car park will remain free for parade participants from 6am to 11pm when the parade returns.

Parade route is as follows; Stad Popiler, Rue de la Possession, Clock Tower, Independence Avenue, Bicentenary Monument, Constitution Avenue, back to Stad Popiler car park via Rue de la Possession

Independence Avenue (from Independence House to the Clock Tower) will also be closed for night bazaar and festive preparations on the following days.

Friday December 5, from 2pm to Saturday December 6, at 11.59pm.

Saturday December 13 from 1pm to Sunday December 14 at 11pm.

Saturday December 20, from 1pm until midnight.

Night Bazaar begins at 5pm.
