The Cold Supermoon to light up December skies
This evening, December 4, 2025, skywatchers will be treated to a dazzling celestial event: the Cold Moon, which this year doubles as the final supermoon of 2025.
A supermoon occurs when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth in its orbit, known as perigee, making it appear larger and brighter than usual. This December’s Cold Moon will shine with extra brilliance, closing out the year’s series of supermoons in spectacular fashion.
