Cancer awareness

There are no words to describe how one feels following a cancer diagnosis. The diagnosis alone transcends far beyond the person, but onto their loved ones – their partner, children and other family members. This shows that cancer is a deeply personal matter and not just a medical diagnosis. While the health system sees the cancer patient as just another statistic to report on, we must not lose sight of the fact that the patient is also a person, with emotions and a story.
