Aripo partners with UniSey to safeguard academic research

The African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation, in collaboration with the Seychelles Registration Division and the University of Seychelles, hosted its first Intellectual Property seminar yesterday at the university campus in Anse Royale.
The two‑day seminar, running from February 17 to 18, has brought together key stakeholders in academia and intellectual property (IP). The initiative supports Seychelles’ ongoing efforts to enhance its IP system, including the establishment of a national IP office mandated to administer industrial property rights. At the same time, the University of Seychelles (UniSey) is taking proactive steps to strengthen its own IP framework and raise awareness of IP rights within academic and research environments.
