Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Equality gets its allocated budget

The National Assembly yesterday approved budget allocations for the 2026 financial year for the Department of Family Affairs and Equality and the Department of Social Affairs under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Equality.

Minister Pamela Charlette introduced the mandate of her ministry due to it being brand new, which is fundamental human rights. “The vision for my ministry is to see a family that is empowered to make good decisions at home where all individuals find themselves having a place in all decisions, policy, service and programme to assure their dignity and well being,” she stated.

“Our mission is to elevate the standard of living of people in society, especially those who are more vulnerable through our policies, services and programmes.”
