Seychelles President joins Mauritius in celebrating unity and independence   |14 March 2026

The President of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, attended Mauritius’ National Day celebrations yesterday at the Champ de Mars, as Guest of Honour at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Hon. Navinchandra Ramgoolam.

President Herminie witnessed the ceremonial raising of the national flag, marking the commencement of festivities for the 58th anniversary of Mauritius’ Independence and the 34th anniversary of the Republic, commemorated on March 12.
