Ambassador Yüksel in discussion with Speaker Ernesta

The Ambassador of Türkiye to Seychelles, Subutay Yüksel, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Azarel Ernesta on Thursday April 9. The ambassador was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Türkiye to the Seychelles Rajasimhan Ramani.

The meeting began with a congratulatory message from Mr Yüksel to the Hon. Speaker, in which he expressed his pleasure at finally meeting the first female Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles. It was emphatically conveyed that the ambassador looked forward to working closely with the new Speaker and the 8th Assembly moving forward.

Discussions shifted toward previous discussions and proposals for collaborations with the National Assembly, through his meetings with the former Speaker in 2023. It was noted that significant progress has been made in sustaining and developing the relations between Türkiye and Seychelles, continuing the grow in a positive direction. Speaker Hon. Ernesta proposed a parliamentary benchmarking exchange and study opportunity between the two nations. It was proposed that a fruitful avenue of collaboration with the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye would be positioned in the technical field of parliamentary broadcasting and productions, which would serve to enrich the Media Operations Division of the National Assembly of Seychelles.

The fruitful meeting concluded with Speaker Ernesta expressing her gratitude to the delegation for their continued efforts and thanking them for the opportunity to meet.
