Strengthening the foundations: Technical officials training advances swimming in Seychelles

The Seychelles Aquatic Federation, in collaboration with Africa Aquatics, has successfully delivered a technical officials training programme, reinforcing its commitment to elevating standards and professionalism within the sport.

The programme brought together representatives from local clubs across Seychelles and focused on key officiating roles, including timekeeping, inspection of turns, stroke judging, and the responsibilities of starters and referees. Combining theoretical instruction with practical poolside application, the training equipped officials with the knowledge, confidence, and technical competence required to operate effectively in competitive environments.
