President Herminie sets bold agenda amid global crisis

President Patrick Herminie has announced that new measures to help Seychelles respond to the impact of the Middle East crisis will be unveiled on Monday, as government intensifies efforts to conserve energy and manage rising fuel costs.

Speaking during his first live press conference yesterday, President Herminie explained that Seychellois must understand why such measures are necessary, noting that the cost of diesel had surged from R60 to R126 per barrel due to the ongoing conflict.
