SMA works with partners on stronger warning service

The Seychelles Meteorological Authority (SMA) yesterday met with partners to strengthen the country’s early warning service, known as the Seychelles Multi-Hazard Impact-based Advice Service (SeyMAS).

The half-day workshop, organised by SMA, aimed to strengthen the country’s Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS) through collaboration and expert guidance. Representatives from government ministries, emergency response agencies, NGOs, and other partners provided feedback on how Seychelles’ early warning system can be further developed to meet the needs of all users.
