Benjamin Anani Quashie has been accredited as the new high commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Seychelles.

Accompanied by a delegation, High Commissioner (HC) Quashie presented his credentials to President Patrick Herminie yesterday at State House, in the presence of Minister for Foreign Affairs & the Diaspora Barry Faure and principal secretary Ian Madeleine.

Speaking to the media, HC Quashie said his discussions with President Herminie focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in harnessing natural resources.

“The President highlighted the close ties linking Ghana and Seychelles. He indicated that he wants the two countries to thrive, improve our relations, especially concerning natural resources, based on natural justice – ensuring that both nations benefit equally,” he stated.

HC Quashie proposed the establishment of a permanent joint commission to ensure continuity in implementing initiatives for mutual benefit.
