Head teachers from primary and secondary state schools are participating in a two‑day Head Teachers’ Leadership Retreat under the theme ‘Re‑imagining School Leadership in Seychelles’.

The retreat, organised by the Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development, is hosted at Treasure Cove Hotel and Restaurant, Bel Ombre.

The event was officially opened by Minister David Pierre, with former President Danny Faure – founder and chairman of The Danny Faure Foundation – among the invited guests.

The retreat provides school leaders with an opportunity to reflect on their leadership practices, strengthen their understanding of governance and compliance, and explore effective approaches to leading people. Objectives include building emotional intelligence, enhancing accountability, sharing best practices, and developing school‑specific action plans to improve learner outcomes.
