Secondary school students from Belonie, Plaisance, English River, and Mont Fleuri are benefiting from the Upgrade 101 – Study with Success seminar, hosted by the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) and NGO Power To Change Seychelles, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development.
Launched yesterday by Nelson Larue, national team leader of Power To Change Seychelles, the programme introduces evidence-based study techniques such as active recall, spaced repetition, and structured revision planning.
“Through our Study with Success programme, we aim to help students rediscover their motivation for learning, reflect on their life goals, and develop the discipline to set the right priorities for a successful future,” Mr Larue said.
He added that schools already involved in the initiative have seen “a reduction in drug abuse and violence among students”.
