New autism support scheme for previously ineligible families

Parents whose children did not meet medical assessment criteria for support between November 2024 and June 2026 will now be eligible for assistance under the Children Neurodivergent Disorder Needs Scheme (CNDNS), introduced by government in July 2026.
The announcement was made yesterday morning by Roma Edmond, chief executive of the Agency for Social Protection (ASP), during a press conference at the ex-SACOS building.
She outlined the scheme’s objectives, eligibility criteria, application process, and the forms of support available to children with neurodivergent disorders and their families.
