Court of Appeal rules on 11 civil cases
On Monday morning, August 17, 2026, the Court of Appeal delivered judgments in 11 cases, reflecting its ongoing efforts to manage civil litigation efficiently. These cases were among 14 filed since April for hearing during the August session.
The proceedings took place at the Palais de Justice and were notable for being presided over in the absence of former Court of Appeal President Justice Anthony Fernando, who officially retired on August 7, 2026. The bench was composed of Justices Fiona Robinson, Samia André, Dominic Sichinga, Karina Gunesh-Balaghee, and Nicola Sharpe-Phiri.
