International choreographers bring new dance styles to Seychelles workshop

Dancers from various academies in Seychelles recently came together for a workshop designed to broaden their skills and expose them to a range of international dance styles.

Organised by Elite Dance and Fitness Studios, this was the second edition of the initiative, following last year’s workshop held in affiliation with Garths Performing Arts (GPA). The organisers hope to establish it as an annual event, giving local dancers regular opportunities to train with experienced choreographers from abroad.

Director and President of Elite Dance and Fitness Studios, Emma Mothée, explained that the workshop was intended to unite dancers while introducing them to techniques and styles they may not often practise.
