Lions of Seychelles fraternity saddened by tragic loss of lives in Nepal flash floods, extends support

“I am in a state of shock and cannot believe the devastating loss of over 150 lives and about 403 people reported missing after the flash floods that swept through the Himalayan region along the Nepal–Tibet border on August 26, 2026. It is the worst global tragedy in Nepal I have ever witnessed, with the missing including 62 Nepali citizens and 341 foreign nationals – among them 133 Indians, 24 Canadians, 33 British, 19 Malaysians, 34 Australians, and 47 Americans. The numbers of those killed and missing continue to rise by the hour. It was so sudden, with no time to react, and there was little anyone could have done.”
