Lions Club renews nationwide vision-screening campaign

Residents of the Plaisance Home for the Elderly received free eye screenings on Saturday as part of the Lions Club of Seychelles’ Vision and Sight for Kids initiative.

Coordinator Dharam Vir Sharma explained that vision care is one of the core global causes of Lions International, which has 1.4 million members in 50,000 clubs worldwide.

He noted that the Lions Club of Seychelles first launched its nationwide vision‑screening campaign on November 4, 2020, beginning at Plaisance, where 18 residents received free examinations.
