Seychelles takes helm of SIDS DOCK |26 September 2026

President Herminie has been elected to lead the 10th Session of SIDS DOCK Assembly through December 2027

Seychelles has assumed the presidency of the SIDS DOCK Assembly, following the election of President Patrick Herminie to lead the organisation’s 10th Session through December 2027.

The election, held during the Tenth Session of the SIDS DOCK Assembly on Thursday, places Seychelles at the forefront of efforts to advance sustainable energy, climate resilience and sustainable development among small island developing states (Sids).

The session, held in a hybrid format, brought together representatives of Sids to discuss shared priorities and strengthen cooperation on energy and climate-related challenges.
