CBS solidarity bonds fully subscribed |24 July 2020
Application for the 7% three-year, 10% five-year and 12% seven-year solidarity bonds is now closed, following the full subscription of the bonds, the Central Bank of Seychelles has announced.
The three solidarity bonds worth R500 million each, which were being administered by the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), were issued on June 15, 2020 as part of government’s efforts to raise additional funding in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CBS has received a total of 724 applications for all three bonds, of which 565 were from individuals for a total value of R512.5 million.
To recall that the solidarity bonds were being issued in multiples of R1,000 with a minimum value of R1,000 and sold on a first-come-first-served-basis.
