IECD holds Christmas party

The Institute for Early Childhood Development hosted a Christmas party yesterday afternoon in appreciation to the children who participated in its recently launched ECCE awareness campaign.

The Christmas party took place at the IECD office at Le Chantier mall and was attended by the 14 kids who took part in the campaign as well as children of IECD staff and staff members.

IECD launched its awareness campaign in support of children, families, childcare provider, teachers and population in general. The campaign addressed children development and wellbeing in line with the health crisis within the national context. This comprises 14 billboards each displaying a key message with images of the children.

Speaking to the press the director for advocacy and information noted that since we will be celebrating Christmas in just a couple of weeks, it was the perfect time to thank the children who took part in the campaign.

During the party the kids got a chance to mingle with each other, participate in games and near the end of the party they got a special visit from Santa himself.

IECD also took the opportunity to thank all its partners and parents who have been with them through 2020.

The accompanying photos show some highlights of the party.
