Women farmers take the spotlight

In celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer initiative launched by the United Nations, the Office of the First Lady, in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture & the Blue Economy, along with the Enterprise Seychelles Agency (Esa), organised a series of activities to spotlight Seychellois women in agriculture. One of these was a vibrant ‘All Women Bazaar’.

Held yesterday on the Camion Hall grounds from 9am to 3pm, the event brought together women farmers from across the islands to showcase their diverse local products under the theme ‘She grows… She sustains’. The aim was to promote agricultural products and by-products created by women farmers and entrepreneurs, while fostering recognition of their vital contributions.
