‘Top Secret’ team lands world record Rusty Jobfish off Mahé

President Dr Patrick Herminie yesterday welcomed Kamal Jean-Baptiste, a member of the ‘Top Secret’ fishing team and winner of this year’s Hook the Challenge, during a courtesy call at State House. The event was part of the activities leading up to the 50th Independence celebrations of Seychelles.

Mr Jean-Baptiste secured a world record by landing the largest Rusty Jobfish ever recorded, weighing in at 12.1 kilogrammes – surpassing the previous record of 10.9 kilogrammes set in Papua New Guinea. “Seychelles should be recognised for this,” he remarked.
