The Le Niole Health Care Centre is the latest addition to the list of local testing providers, offering access to Covid-19 PCR testing.

A branch of the PSM Medical Enterprises, the new facility – Le Niole Diagnostic Centre – was officially inaugurated yesterday by the Minister for Health Peggy Vidot in the presence of Dr Sethu Chetty and member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Beau Vallon John Hoareau.

The new facility will open its doors to both visitors and locals, charging R1250 per test for adults and R750 for children from six to 15 years old.

The service will be free for children under six years of age travelling abroad.

It is also giving five to ten percent discount for staff and visitors of organisations such as construction companies, travel services and Gainful Occupation Permit (GOP).

According to PSM Medical Enterprises, the service will also be available on Praslin soon at Dr Chetty’s Clinic at Grand Anse and certain selected hotels, also on La Digue at R1500 for both residents and visitors.

Test results with recognised certification will be emailed within 24 hours.

PSM Medical Enterprises is hoping to set up a similar laboratory at its Grand Anse clinic next year, allowing residents and visitors to get their results on Praslin, instead of waiting for it from the Mahé laboratory.
