The Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) will start a data clean-up exercise at its Maison Colette offices on Mahé, as well as on Praslin and La Digue, to provide all registered taxpayers the opportunity to update their information with the organisation.

The exercise, aimed at collecting accurate information to update the SRC’s internal tax system, will be conducted in two phases as from today, Tuesday June 28 until Friday July 29, 2022.

In phase one, taxpayers will be requested to update their contact details and e-mail address by completing an ‘Information Update Form’ available at SRC premises on weekdays during working hours.

Upon receiving the completed ‘Information Update Form’, as part of phase two, SRC will e-mail the taxpayer a ‘Pre-filled Data Verification Form’ requesting the taxpayer to verify and confirm that all the information initially provided to SRC upon registration is correct, so as to update any obsolete registration details.

SRC will also contact those without email address, to proceed to its premises to certify the correctness of the information available on the ‘Pre-filled Data Verification Form’.

This important exercise will enable taxpayers who may have changed any details or particulars about their business without advising SRC, the chance to come forward to update their information, while at the same time allowing SRC to maintain an accurate internal tax system with the latest statistics.

Speaking about the importance of the data clean-up exercise, director compliance and policy, Roseline Lepathy, said: “To enable the success of this exercise, we are calling on all registered businesses – be it a sole trader, company or partnership – to come forward to update their information with SRC. Knowing that we have the right contact details at hand will further facilitate the sharing of information between SRC and the taxpayer whenever needed.”

Taxpayers can also request for the ‘Information Update Form’ by emailing registry@src.gov.sc, advisory.center@src.gov.sc or by phoning 4293415 or 4293737 for additional information. SRC looks forward to the participation of all taxpayers to update their information within the aforementioned timeframe to ensure the success of the data clean up exercise.
