Ashaelle Bastienne wins President’s Cup

Ashaelle Bastienne is the outstanding student for the 2023 to 2024 cohort of Seychelles School of Advanced Level Studies. She received the President’s Cup from the Head of State, President Wavel Ramkalawan, during a ceremony yesterday afternoon at the auditorium of the University of Seychelles, Anse Royale.

Ashaelle is described as one who never shies away from opportunities. Embodying a spirit of enthusiasm and responsibility she has consistently stepped up even when others hesitated. Additionally her contributions have extended far beyond school grounds, representing the institution both nationally and internationally.

“I was not expecting to win at all because in my council group there was a lot of good candidates. It was really a shock and I’m very proud of myself because during these two years I sometimes felt demotivated,” shared Ashaelle in an interview with the media.
