ISS honours staff’s dedication at annual end-of-year celebration

International School Seychelles last Saturday brought its staff together in a festive celebration to mark the end of the academic year.

The annual end-of-year party served as a platform to acknowledge and applaud staff members who have gone above and beyond in their roles, as well as those who have shown unwavering dedication through years of service.

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the Employee of the Year Award to Carol Palmyre, recognised for her outstanding professionalism, dedication, and commitment to advancing the school’s vision.

Mary Uzice was honoured for 20 years of loyal service, her tenure reflecting a deep-rooted connection and continued contribution to the school’s growth. Susan Ansell received special recognition for an incredible 30 years of service, celebrating a remarkable legacy of influence and dedication within the International School Seychelles (ISS) community.

Heartfelt speeches, shared laughter, and strong camaraderie filled the evening, underscoring the sense of family and mutual respect that defines the school. Executive Head, Elodie Vallantine, remarked that “our staff are the heart of our school. We celebrate their dedication, passion, and the incredible impact they have on shaping the future of our students.”

The ISS end-of-year party also featured entertainment, delicious refreshments, and opportunities for staff to connect and reflect on a successful academic year, reinforcing the school’s ethos of respect, community, and excellence.
