‘Every profession starts with a teacher’
Last week, the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education launched a national campaign under the theme ‘Future Builders: Teaching the Nation Forward – Because Every Profession Starts with a Teacher’. Seychelles NATION sat down with the director of the institution, Mavis Lespoir, to learn more about the institute’s role as a key provider of qualified teachers for the nation.
Located at Mont Fleuri, the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education (SITE) currently has 93 learners enrolled, supported by approximately 26 teaching staff (including full-time lecturers, the director, and the deputy director for studies), as well as 15 support staff, including administrative personnel.
